Proulx House (1885)

Victorian residence built by Eden P. Johnson. Covered with red bricks, its two front gables embellished with large ornaments and balanced with a pointed tower, this house is a good specimen of the neogothic style.

Over the years, it was inhabited by Judge Constantineau who added to the house in 1901, then for close to 90 years by lawyer Edmond Proulx (Member of Parliament; afterwards Judge) and by his son, lawyer Henri Proulx, and later by local businessman Bernard Pilon until 2005.
