Voices from Another Time | The Horn Cemetery

This tiny isolated cemetery is located on land formerly owned by the Horn family. Most of the people buried here were related to the Horns by marriage, but several neighbours were also laid to rest with them. This graveyard served the rural community of the surrounding area.

You have to take the path less travelled to find the little Horn Cemetery! You’ll discover a very intimate site dominated by a majestic ancient maple.

ON SITE

The site is dominated by a giant maple, which must have been there when the first graves were dug in the 1850s. The tombstones dot the hillside, and several have symbols that will pique your curiosity. A guide will reveal this peaceful cemetery’s little secrets to you.
