Popular resort

19, avenue Murdoch

This building, built in 1927, is an example of the Regency style,  a popular vacation home design. The hipped roof, with its four slopes, rests on a square structure that originally featured a covered porch. This was incorporated into the main body during the renovations over the years.

Historical Significance

This residence is significant because it was built one year after the Guest House and the same year as the neighboring house of Dr. Linklater. It is one of the first three buildings in the Leaders' Quarter. However, the architectural style is of lesser significance and is associated with the popular vacation homes that were built in towns situated along shoreline. Its architecture resembles that of the cottages of that era.
