Built in 1937, the residence is a fine example of the International Style. This style is well represented by the building's cubic form and straight edges. The cornice ends in a stepped wall, a break that interrupts its continuity. The glass brick used is also a distinctive feature of this architectural style.
Historical Significance
This building has served a very important social purpose. Initially housing young women from surrounding parishes who came to work in the city, it later became a residence for seniors and retired priests. It also housed a business and, following a period of neglect it was converted into offices in the late 1980s.
