Cap-à-l'Aigle (La Malbaie)

Cap-à-l'Aigle is a resort area on the banks of the Saint Lawrence River, a few kilometers east of La Malbaie. The buildings lining a steep slope overlook the river. One can enjoy an endless view towards the southern shore of the Saint Lawrence. The site is majestic.

The real estate inventory is diverse: old farmhouses, village houses, villas, vacation homes, and small cottages.

The village is known for its quality inns, including the Auberge des Peupliers. Accommodation is varied, ranging from simple residences to cottages grouped on the same site.

In early June, artists and musicians take over the street for the festival called "Le temps des Lilas."

A little away from the village, to the west, the magnificent Jardins de Quatre-Vents are the creation of Francis H. Cabot, a philanthropist associated with the American Rock Garden Society and chairman of the board of the New York Botanical Garden. The site, open a few times during the summer season, offers access to a collection of nearly 1000 plant species and historic buildings of great interest, including a manor, farm buildings, and a Japanese bridge, among others.
