We Left Some Lights On is the first work in a triptych that invites us to contemplate the idea of letting light permanently triumph over darkness. The bedside lamp turned on before sleeping, the light illuminating a house entrance, the dim ceiling light during a dinner, or the moon watching over the night: each of these lights envelops us in a soft and familiar warmth.
Through twelve luminous scenes, Valéry Lemay offers a sensitive response to Daniel Lazowski's brutalist architecture. Delicately framed by concrete, the light transforms the building into a space of contemplation where softness and monumentality meet.
