We are in front of Saint-Isaac-Jogues Church, one of the main heritage landmarks of Val-des-Sources.

Built in the heart of the town, it reflects the importance of community life in this former mining city. For generations, families gathered there for major celebrations, as well as in times of joy and mourning.

Gathering place

Notice its sober and imposing architecture, reflecting the aspirations of a growing community in the mid-20th century. Even today, the church serves as a reminder that the history of Val-des-Sources was not only shaped by the mine, but also by the places that brought its residents together and forged their identity.
