This 45-foot (13,8 m) high, metal structure cross overviews the town of Saint-Frédéric, which makes it visible from far away. Built in 1950, it was blessed on June 9, 1951 by the parish priest Camille Morrisset as part of the town's hundredth anniversary celebrations. It was illuminated for the first time on December 24, 1951. As for wayside crosses, they reflect the faith of parishioners who came to pray around them during important celebrations.Source: Town of Saint-Frédéric
