Fontaine de Trécesson

Trécesson

GETTING TO the Trécesson fountain

This fountain was moved in 2021 to the trécesson rest area. Here is the information on its former location at the St. Viateur Domain.

The Trécesson municipality, working with the St. Viateur Domain, decided to renovate the fountain, which was built in the 1960s by the clerics of St. Viateur.

The track motor

The local community developed around the railway between 1911 and 1918. As a reminder of this time, and of the importance of this railway in the lives of the inhabitants of Trécesson and Spirit Lake Camp, a track motor car can be found next to the fountain. The track motor car was frequently used at the beginning of the 20th century for inspecting railway lines and transporting materials and maintenance personnel. It was also sometimes used for transporting passengers.

A welcoming atmosphere

A welcoming atmosphere has been created for visitors to take a relaxing break to admire the Beauchamp Lake and its enchanting countryside. The fountain is just a stone’s throw from the Historical Interpretation Center of Spirit Lake Camp and the Arboretum.
